KCLG has delivered several significant sustainable land management projects over the last five years. Raising awareness around soil carbon, sustainable grazing, carbon markets, farm dams, soil health, landscape rehydration, and farm business resilience. Our key partners have included Agriculture Victoria, North-East CMA, ANU Sustainable Farms, Dr Judi Earl, Graeme Hand, Mulloon Institute, and Soil Land Food.
We deliver training courses and workshops to assist our farming community to gain the skills and knowledge to adapt to changing climatic and economic conditions and help build knowledge and resilience for healthy, productive landscapes into the future.
Our recent projects have included:
- Reboot your soil: soil testing and soil health
- Holistic grazing courses
- Whole farm planning
- Enhancing farm dams for productivity and biodiversity
- Farm business resilience, including farm finance, risk, water security, and stock handling
- Carbon bash: understanding the basics of soil carbon and doing a soil carbon project
