Caring for our Communities and the Environment

Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups

Landcare is a volunteer movement that connects people from all walks of life to do something good for the environment.

Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups is the Landcare network for the Kiewa Catchment.   We are an independent, not-for-profit organisation based in North-East Victoria.

Our vision is an engaged and connected community that values and cares for thriving and resilient natural environments, farmlands and landscapes throughout the Kiewa Catchment.

We actively seek multiple opportunities and partnerships for our communities to learn about and contribute to restoring and protecting our land, soils and water. We lead, educate and enable people to ensure the Kiewa Catchment thrives into the future.

We have been supporting our landholders and communities for more than 25 years.   We are an active and inclusive Landcare community, welcoming everyone.

Come join us and get involved in your local Landcare community today!

Healthy Hectares - Sustainable Property Management Course, February - June 2026

Small property land managers in North East Victoria are invited to register for Wodonga Urban Landcare Network’s Healthy Hectares program, a series of six tailored workshops delivered over five months, commencing February 2026. The program supports small landholders to plan and manage their properties sustainably, with a strong focus on practical, local, grassroots solutions that address climate change, maintain agricultural productivity, and protect and enhance natural capital.

Led by local experts, the workshops combine hands-on activities with practical guidance for new and small land managers. Topics covered include property planning, soil health, water requirements, enhancing biodiversity, pasture and livestock management, and managing invasive pests and weeds.

Cost is $150 per property and includes 6 workshops, a farm map, catering and useful resources.
